Youth leadership & training programmes
Carried out in youth centres across multiple states, this programme area furthers the education of young people and prepares them for their future careers through mentorship and leadership training.
These provides guidance and direction to the students as they grow up, assisting them to develop in their academic work, character and values.
This is achieved through a variety of activities
Urban Youth Training Schemes
Training schemes across five Nigerian cities; Lagos, Ibadan, Benin, Enugu and Nsukka; aimed at the overall development of young people.
ECS Book Scheme
Provides books to institutions in dire need across the country, addressing textbook scarcity in partnership with various bodies.
Cultural Education and Exchange Programmes
These programmes are organized in to foster the students’ knowledge of different universities, knowledge fields and other issues that are also discussed in the cultural exchange programmes.
Information Technology Skills Acquisition
In this age of technology, it is imperative that one acquires the much needed technical skills. These are provided in the youth centres via training programmes, some of which are run concurrently with the normal academic year and others at strategic times in the year.
Academic Training
There are schemes aimed at furthering academic training. This is done through a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities that complement the formal education received by the youth. It is tailored to cater for people from different educational and cultural backgrounds.
Education on Civic Responsibilities and Values
Various seminars are organized to foster education of the youth on their civic responsibilities and values. These seminars focus on increasing the knowledge of the youth about their civic responsibilities.
ELEKO STUDY CENTRE
The Centre was opened in March 2017. The Centre also serves as a residence for some faculty members of PAU and students.
HELMBRIDGE STUDY CENTRE
HELMBRIDGE STUDY CENTRE was established in 1972 Its aims are to complement the academic, moral and character training, which the students receive at home and at school.
SOUTHCREEK STUDY CENTRE
Southcreek Centre which was established in 2001, aims at complementing the academic, moral and character training, which students receive at home and at school.
UHERE UNIVERSITY CENTRE
Uhere Study Centre is a private male hall of residence located within walking distance from the vicinity of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It started officially in 1991.
