OUR PROFILE
Built on five decades of service
The Educational Co-operation Society (ECS) is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies Decree in 1974, as a charitable trust limited by guarantee.
Over five decades, ECS has promoted projects enhancing youth leadership, rural community development, and technical education across multiple Nigerian states, reaching thousands of individuals, families, and communities.
ECS has received support from over 600 companies and many individuals who contributed in cash, materials, or services. Donations by corporate bodies are tax-deductible under Schedule 5 of the Companies Income Tax Act.
Our mission
To promote projects throughout the Federation which further education, social welfare, and development of character, reaching all persons regardless of social, cultural, ethnic, or religious background.
Our vision
A Nigeria where all persons have access to education of good quality and personal development, irrespective of their backgrounds.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
How we are governed
Members
Individuals who subscribe to the aims and objectives of the organisation form the membership base.
Management council
Directors responsible for day-to-day operations and executive functions. Currently chaired by Engr. C.A. Osezua (OON).
Women’s board
Assists the Management Council in supervising projects dedicated to the promotion and welfare of women.
Patrons’ board
Supports the Management Council in fundraising and activities towards development of capital projects.
